Our backyard raspberries are coming in strong this July, and we had great help with the picking (Madison, Liam, and Bennett). Usually our huskies devour most of the the lower level, and even not quite ripe berries. This year the grandkids were on top of it.
A blessing of time with grandchildren is the first hand experience of boundless energy and imagination. In July our rock garden terrace became a kitchen of imaginary foods. All the menus were a 100% natural and representative of some of Madison's, Liam's and Bennett's favorites. Unique ambiance, included "bubbles everywhere in our kitchen". And there was boundless bounding too.
May boundless energy and imagination be experienced by all of us this summer.

The recent debate between Biden and Trump was most troubling because it further exposed the hyper-deception practiced by political parties and the current lead contenders for US president in the upcoming election. If one recons there is more than a modicum of difference in the narcissism, dishonesty, and corrupt moral character of these contenders, their campaigns and/or families, then this deficiency in cognitive thought may be as profound as that clearly exhibited by Biden. It is so discouraging that Biden and Trump are the primary choices of the Democrat and Republican parties. Are they really the best of the best that these US political parties and their primary voters could come up with? Should the ultimate selection of a president really be based on who we fear least? That's what the hyper partisans want us to believe. Why would we expect that such a negative approach would have positive results? Where is the political energy and imagination beyond calling the opposition the 'worst ever', and embracing policy that in essence is 'let's print more free money?'
The walker with a Presidential Seal pictured in this section was from an article (The Economist) titled 'Why Biden Must Withdraw'. Not sure a stubborn Biden, and especially the Biden family, will agree. Perhaps the walker better describes the 'fear based' political process in the US. We're all hobbled.
Joe may still have lucid moments when he can find a podium and read from a teleprompter. But, even with medical assistance, he's just as likely to experience sundowners syndrome or some other yet to be shared cognitive impairment(s). The examples of Joe's significant cognitive impairment are TNTC. During times of impairment, Joe isn't fulfilling his duties as president. Who then is POTUS? Maybe the real question today is not should Joe run in 2024, but should he continue to be POTUSINO (President of the US in Name Only) tomorrow?
Donald, while not yet as cognitively impaired as Joe, is still too old and too narcissistic to be running for president. He exhibits many of the characteristics of BMS (Bill Mitchell Syndrome). Bill Mitchell was the evil doer president in the 1993 movie DAVE. When President Bill is cognitively impaired (he has a stroke during an extramarital sex affair), his staff replaces him with a look alike, but ordinary citizen, named Dave Kovic. Mr. Kovic, it turns out, is everything that Bill Mitchell isn't (cognitively alert, honest, caring for others, and an exceptionally good president). Dave Kovic in his roleplaying even appreciates his Vice President. Wow, if only Pence and Harris could've experienced real appreciation.
Given the fictional Bill Mitchell character is almost a perfect amalgamation of the real life Joe and Donald, now may be a good time to see again, or see for the first time, the movie DAVE. Too bad we can't find, and be able to vote for a real life Dave Kovic for president.
